The mission of IEA is to introduce students in middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports.

IEA Competitions feature two disciplines: Hunt Seat and Western.

Jamie Gerardi Equestrian only competes in the Hunt Seat Team discipline.

A unique aspect of IEA Competitions is that the riders do not have to bring their own horses because each event provides the horses. This provides fair competition for all riders. Since the horse is new to each rider, the scores are based entirely on horsemanship and equitation.

All disciplines offer a variety of ability levels from beginner to advanced.
